The DBS See Different Team is hosting a 2020 Holiday Lunch and Listen next month on December 16, at 12 Noon. The Lunch and Listen will be an entertaining virtual lunchtime talent showcase spotlighting a variety of talent and can be enjoyed from any location. To make the event really special, we’re seeking talent from clients and staff. If you love performing (singing, playing an instrument or something else) or know a co-worker or client who does, we’re inviting you and/or them to participate in this event.

Here are the details for signing up:

1.      Please send an email to  <mailto:SeeDifferent at dbs.fldoe.org> SeeDifferent at dbs.fldoe.org no later than Monday, November 23rd to let us know you’ll be participating.

2.      Record your performance (3-5 minutes) and submit the video directly, or publish it to YouTube and share the link, to  <mailto:SeeDifferent at dbs.fldoe.org> SeeDifferent at dbs.fldoe.org. Please let the See Different Team know if you need assistance with recording. Videos are due no later than 12 Noon on Monday, December 7th.

3.      Keep it “family appropriate”.

4.      Families or friends may perform as a group. Participants are responsible for coordinating.

5.      Holiday-themed performance is not required but encouraged. 

Although the event is strictly for entertainment and fun, judges will be on hand to determine three winners. Winners will receive certificates (braille/print) and be featured on the DBS website and social media sites.
