This year the blind of America have come together in the National Federation of the Blind to provide personal support, share information, lift each other up, and protect our collective right to live fully and equally in society. We give thanks today for those members of our Federation family who we have lost to COVID-19. The energy and love they put into our movement endure as we march forward. We are thankful for our community of friends and supporters who have contributed in extraordinary ways to supporting our movement during these uncertain times. With that support, we have not slowed down on achieving our priorities. We are thankful for each member of this organization and their individual efforts to reach out to blind people who have not yet discovered our movement. Although we are socially distanced this year, our hearts overflow with gratitude for the strength that comes in working together toward a meaningful purpose every day. May the spirit of thanks and giving bless each of you as the year draws to a close.
