I usually don’t post these items to our chapter email list, but thought this was interesting. I use Be My Eyes in addition to Seeing AI to read things for me. Be My Eyes is an app that allows you to call a volunteer and have them read print to you, help you find something that you are not quite sure its location or a host of other tasks using the camera on your smart phone or tablet. Seeing AI is for all intents and purposes, a scanning app for the phone and tablet, that can complete a variety of tasks, like reading text, scanning UPC bar codes on items, identify currency and a few others.
