Dear Friends 

Thank you all for your prayers.  Joe did well through

the surgery.   We met with the spinal surgeon last 

evening, Dr. Datta.   Dr. Datta gave us his time and a

lot of information about Joe's condition.   This was

Joe's second kyphoplasty, with unknown future

happenings.   One day at a time. 

 

A direct source of the extreme pain is advanced

osteoporosis with failure of the spinal structure.

We will need to be careful, as he is a fall risk.

Hopefully, he will become stronger when he is

transferred to a Rehabilitation Center in the next day

or two.   While there are other fragile areas of his

spine, he was much less affected by pain last nite.

Today is Joe's 11th day at Holmes Regional.   

 

There are a few other medical issues, but this is the

most updated report.  I will let you know more as the

forward plan develops.

We are asking for everyone to continue praying for Joe Naulty. He has been in the hospital for some time and now he is having surgery on his back again this afternoon at 5 p.m. Our prayers worked to hold him through his previous surgery on the L5 vertebrae in his back, but now his L4 is broken. Let us lift him and Arlene up as they and the family work through this difficult time.
