Good Morning Sunrise and Shine Family! 

Here's the announcement you've been waiting for. Our regular gathering of
Sunrise and Shine with NFB-NEWSLINER will take place tomorrow, Thursday
October 12th at 9:00 AM. We're taking our show on the road and broadcasting
from Jacksonville's beautiful City Hall building. We'll start the call with
introductions and a discussion of how  the white cane has impacted our lives
in a positive way. Around 10:00 AM, I'll make my way down to the atrium of
the historic James building where we will  hear from Jacksonville's Mayor,
Donna Deegan as well as other dignitaries. The Mayor is holding a public
event to celebrate "White Cane Awareness Day" and the critical importance of
this tool in the lives of blind people.

we will also take time to hear from  those gathered on "Rise and Shine, so
you can tell us all about the events you are hosting in connection with
White Cane Awareness Day. 

We hope that you will help us fill the Zoom room with lots of smiling faces
and with lots of great stories.

If you haven't been to one of our calls before, joining us at 9:00 AM for a
relaxing no stress get together will give you a chance to find out what
you've been missing. We always take time for welcoming new guest speakers
and participants and for lots of warmth and laughter.

Most of us have become pretty familiar with attending meetings using the
Zoom platform over the past couple of years and in fact, we've been using
Zoom since we launched Rise and Shine way back on April 16th 2020. If you're
not used to using Zoom or if it's still giving you difficulties, don't give
up just yet. You can access the meeting by clicking on he below listed web
link, by using the one tap mobile feature or by dialing the phone number
provided and entering the access code when prompted.

The regulars on our call are always warm and welcoming and are thrilled to
see new faces.
