[NFBF-Tampa] another denial to a guide dog user

Dear Chapter Members and Friends:

This morning Sherrill was denied a ride from Uber. She was lucky the second Uber driver took her with her dog...although she had to wait for a second driver. My question is: "Is this equal access?" Now, she must decide who she calls to pick her up from the vet...Uber or Yellow Cab? Why? Sherrill has experienced denials from both of these companies.

Those who choose to use guide dogs as our mobility tool should not have to worry if we will get a ride or not! This is unacceptable and our national leaders believe it is as well. I have pasted the links to our settlement agreements for your reading pleasure. I am in hopes that those who do not have an understanding of this issue may glean some from the below.

Warmly,

Merry
