Hi Sherrill
I won’t be there tomorrow spending time with family. We made these plans at the beginning of the month. Around February 10 we made the plans for the last Saturday of the month to spend time together. And Wednesday was my birthday. So I got treated to Kobe‘s in Brandon. It was me, my middle sister, my sister TEE is older than me, and my middle sister youngest daughter. I had to long island iced tea’s. I never had that before. So me and my sisThat’s two years apart that’s what we had. And my little sister and sister TEE is older than me split my birthday dinner. And then I had a cake to bring home a card Kobe song happy birthday the people in the restaurant at Kobe song we happy birthday again my niece told me in chocolate they said happy birthday and I gave you a lot of food for your money we have so much food on a plate it was like enough for food on there for like three people. We ate a little bit and everybody took their food home it took me three days to finish it. Because now I measure my food between 4 to 6 ounces.
Hope to see everyone next month.

> Miranda gave a wrap-up of the NFBF state convention which was held in Tampa at the beginning of October. She asked those who had attended to share their convention likes and dislikes. She said she will send out on the chapter listserv the amount which was raised by our auction basket. She said it was very successful. Gloria congratulated Paul for being elected our state President, and we gave him a round of applause. Sewar spoke about the state’s new Blind Student division which has 14 members. She was very excited to have attended her first state convention. Brittany Fraer, President of the state’s Guide Dog Users division, reported on their annual meeting and newly elected Board. Yvonne said that the Senior Concerns Committee meeting at convention was exceptional.

> Miranda said we will not hold a meeting in November, but will have a holiday party on December 13. We discussed possible locations. We voted to check on the availability of any of Tampa’s Olive Garden private rooms for a noontime party. Miranda will look into this. Yvonne volunteered to serve as the chair of a decorating committee for the party.

Miranda explained the service for those unfamiliar with it. She said she sent the information out to the Division of Blind Services, the Tampa Lighthouse, Self Reliance and Tampa’s ADA coordinator. Gloria reported on a Transportation Disadvantaged meeting she attended. She said they are attempting to secure more funding in addition to that provided by the state.
