Dear Fellow NFB Members,
Below is the note I received from the Vertical Ventures rock climbing
program I mentioned on the NFB call. It includes those with wheelchairs,
visual-impairments, etc.
Please share it with anyone you think might be interested and I hope to see
you there.
"We do have an adaptive climbing session happening on Sunday April 29th from
8am-12pm. 8am-10am will be a private session for folks in the adaptive
session and then the gym opens to the public as a shared space after 10am.
We'll have staff on site to get climbers geared up, give tours of the
facility and available for climbing/belay support.
We have visually impaired climbers that enjoy our facilities during normal
business hours as well, so feel free to come by any time that's convenient
for you in addition to the adaptive session on the 29th. There are a few
ways to come climb that I'll share a bit about here. You can purchase a day
pass that includes gear for $25, purchase a 5 pack of passes for $85 or 10
pack for $150, or you can purchase a recurring membership for unlimited
climbing for $75 per month."
