Hello Everyone,
I am saddened to let you all know that David Stayer, the long-time chair
and founder of this group is not doing well.  David has had cancer for some
time.  I was informed by his family that based on the recommendations of
his physicians that he has discontinued treatment and is now on hospice.
Additionally, his family reports that he has lost most of his hearing, and
even with hearing aids, is only responsive to people who speak loudly to
him.  He is no longer able to talk to people over the phone or read email.
He is still at home with 24 hour live in help.  I think that David and his
family would appriciate your thoughts and prayers.  I will try to keep
people informed as to what is going on.
