It's Me Again,

I forgot to mention during my ranting that Doug does not know Braille. He
scans material in, or takes it from Book Share and makes a haphazard attempt
at proofing. I am here to tell you, Book Share is not all it is cracked up
to be. I found myself having a much more difficult time proofing that text
than I did what I actually typed in myself. There are also many print and
formatting codes that remain in the text that need to be taken out. This is
a very time consuming process. Let me say up front that I am not NLS
certified to be a Braille transcriber, but I was taught Braille and have
knowledge of formatting. I was forced to do a physics book, and to be
perfectly candid, I would be ashamed to put it on Book Share. I was trying
to learn Nemeth Code and the math to Braille software program at the same
time. On top of this, I had no knowledge of physics. Thanks to a few
knowledgeable math teachers I did my best which I don't believe was good
enough for the student. I am quite sure when this hits the streets I will be
ridiculed for what I did and didn't do. That's just part of the game.

Good Morning All,

I am trying to get to the bottom of a roomer that Doug Condoron got the
position as Brailler Clerk at Jeff County. I was told  by someone at KSB
that Doug told him he got the position. I AM FURIOUS! I knew they were up to
something. I have called Doug a couple of times and he is very evasive. I
asked him point blank last Thursday and he mumbled something that sounded
like "I don't know". Then used the age old excuse that someone was at the
door and he had to go. I have half a mind to forward this email to him. I
have also emailed a couple of other informants to see if they can shed any
light on the subject. I guess NFBK will need to formulate a plan. As soon as
I can confirm the appointment I will be calling Dr. Maurer. I know there are
a couple of VI teachers on this list. I know your are loyal to our cause and
I appreciate that very much, but NFBK can't let this situation go
unchallenged. Knowing the two of you as I do, I believe you will agree.
