                Hi Denise,

Would it be appropriate and/or interesting for me to write an article about
my choice of degree programs in public health? I think in general a lot of
people have no idea what public health is let alone why a blind person would
go into it (and what I'll do with the degree). I'm thinking it would be
share with people what public health is, what my degree program and classes
are all about and what I hope to do with my degree once I graduate. I could
also weave throughout the article how my federation philosophy helps me in
this field. What do you think? If you like this idea, do you have any
specific questions or points you would like me to make? If you don't think
it's a good fit that's okay too. I'd be happy to write about another topic
if you have any ideas.

Thanks,

Melanie

With spring comes the next exciting edition of our Kentucky Cardinal. Lots
of things are happening across the Commonwealth and we hope to cover them
all. Chapter and division presidents should submit their reports to Sandra
Williams via email at sandwill at insightbb.com by March 4. Items for "Have you
Heard?" should be sent to Lora Felty at lorafelty at windstream.net by the same
deadline. Other submissions can be sent directly to me at kyfranks at yahoo.com
by March 8. Please send articles as attachments as this eliminates a step or
two in the process. Our newsletter is something we can all take pride in, so
don't be afraid to step up and let your voice be heard.

It's a lot more satisfying to reach for the stars, even if you end up
landing only on the moon.
