Seminars at Hadley Presents: Braille Literacy - Hadley Style

Did you know that Hadley’s first course offered at a distance back in 1920 was a
braille course? Do you wonder how this was possible? How does this method of
learning to read and write braille really work at a distance?

Join Seminars at Hadley as instructors Sharon Howerton and Susan Fisher explain the
braille courses they teach from the early fundamentals of tracking to the
alphabet through contracted braille.

Dean of Educational Programs and Instruction Doug Anzlovar will moderate this
60-minute seminar. A question and answer session will be included as part of the
seminar.

consider a brush up on your existing skills! Consider taking the following

Seminars at Hadley Presents: Tuning in with the BookPort Plus

You probably already know that the BookPort Plus from the American Printing
House for the Blind is a fantastic way to listen to digital audiobooks. However,
did you know that it will search the Internet to listen to Internet radio
stations and can download podcasts to listen to at your leisure? It also has the
ability to take text notes!

Join Seminars at Hadley as Maria Delgado, field service representative from the
American Printing House for the Blind, discusses these features and many other
exciting aspects of the BookPort Plus.

Hadley’s Instructor of Assistive Technology Douglas Walker will moderate this
60-minute seminar. A question and answer session will be included as part of the
seminar.
