Obituary





James Wilson Scoggins III, 82 of the Clifton neighborhood passed away Thursday evening. He was born April 24, 1930 in Mayfield, KY to the late James W. and Mary Rose Robbins Scoggins. He was educated at the Kentucky School for the Blind, and furthered his education with college. He became a Vocational Instructor as a Journeyman for 12 yrs at the school, and taught Piano Technology, and had a career with KSB for 32 years. He was a member of the KSB Alumni, and the Christian Assembly Church in New Albany, IN. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Sue Scoggins, and their son Tom Scoggins. He is survived by his loving wife;...

He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Sue Scoggins, and their son Tom Scoggins. 

He is survived by his loving wife; Peggy R. Scoggins, his 2 step-sons; Timothy Dunn, and Donald Dunn. His former daughter in law; Deanna Scoggins, 5 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren, and many loving friends.

Visitation for James will be held Saturday 2-5 p.m. at Arch L. Heady-Cralle Funeral Home, 2428 Frankfort Avenue, with visitation on Monday, 12 to 2:00 pm CST and a service at 2:00 pm at Byrn Funeral Home, Mayfield, KY.

Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery.
