If you had a scarred cornea, a transplant might be possible. If not, these 
people are misinformed.

Medical knowledge has a long way to go when it comes to sensory impairments. 
I have a cochlear implant. It is a lot better than what I had in the left 
ear before, but it is not perfect. My hearing is a bit robotic, and I still 
need my right hearing-aid ear for music.
