Next Louisville Life features Caudill Seed Company, American Printing House
for the Blind and more

The next Louisville Life, hosted by Candyce Clifft, features Caudill Seed
Company, the final installment of the "Ten Buildings That Changed
Louisville" series, Erin Keane of WFPL, and the American Printing House for
the Blind. The program premieres Saturday, May 3 at 7:30/6:30 p.m. on KET
and Thursday, May 8 at 7:30/6:30 p.m. on KET2.

In the final "The Ten Buildings that Changed Louisville" segment, Louisville
Life features The Seelbach Hotel and 21c Museum Hotel. The Seelbach began as
the dream of two Bavarian brothers, Otto and Louis Seelbach, in 1903. Two
years later, an expansion was completed and included the famous
Bavarian-style Rathskeller, which today remains the only surviving ensemble
of its kind. The 21c Museum Hotel, also located downtown, is a boutique
hotel and contemporary art museum. Founded in 2006 by Laura Lee Brown and
Steve Wilson, the pair partnered with world-renowned architect Deborah Berke
to reimagine and renovate a series of 19th-century tobacco and bourbon
warehouses along West Main Street.

Next, the program visits Caudill Seed Company, which was founded in 1947 by
Forrest Caudill. A decorated military veteran, Caudill returned to the
family farm to begin a new life and career following World War II. He saw
the need for the establishment of a seed provider and grower to serve the
agribusiness industry.

The program also features the 156-year-old American Printing House for the
Blind, the world's largest company devoted to researching, developing and
manufacturing products for the blind and visually impaired.

In the studio, Clifft talks with Erin Keane, who covers Louisville's arts
and humanities scene for WFPL, part of Louisville Public Media.
