I have been in several bathrooms that have music, and the kinds vary. What I notice is that often, very high quality sound systems are used.

Subject: [Nfbk] Freakonomics Podcast
While listening to the Freakonomics podcast today, I heard a former Federationist, Ron Milliman. He appears about 7 minutes and 30 seconds into the show.
Here is a blurb from the page:
+ Ronald Milliman, a longtime professor of marketing at Western Kentucky University who, in part because he went blind, became a scholar of sound. We discuss a few of his many studies, including “Using Background Music to Affect the Behavior of Supermarket Shoppers” and “The Influence of Background Music on the Behavior of Restaurant Patrons.”
Below is a link to the web page where you can ear the podcast.
