[Nfbktad] Downloaded trial JAWS version

I downloaded the JAWS trial version. I had an 11 page pamphlet to help
me figure out how to use it in Word and PDF. Even easier than NVDA (with
170 pages of confusing commands).
Outlook and Firefox were another matter. More research to use more of
the trial time. Very confusing.
I have never used the keyboard shortcuts - because they always end up
the long way around for me. Often deleting documents instead of saving
them, or turning off the computer instead of opening a document. This
is not going to be easy.
I think JAWS is my better option. Though the price is astronomical. I
intend to learn Braille so I can function without my sight. I also have
drastic hearing loss, so the low toned male voice of the JAWS demo was
difficult for me to understand clearly. I know there are female voices
for the full version. By learning JAWS and Braille, it will open a door
to refreshable Braille in the future.
Now if I can just get the fog and eye pain to quit, I might can focus.
At least it isn't stabbing pain today. I just feel like I am looking
through a white sheet, and my eye feels irritated.
My vision field has also drastically shrunk again. Looking forward to
the phone call tomorrow, and hoping for a real diagnosis and prognosis.
Have a good evening.
