Good Evening,

Upon further review, we have a couple more revisions to post regarding the
NFB of Kentucky Technology Assistance Division (TAD) Constitution. I will
present to you directly below, the current, and the proposed changes. Again,
this is necessary to be as consistent as possible as well as compliant with
the state and national constitutions. The amended version of the TAD
Constitution will be voted on in the Technology Assistance Business Meeting
at the National Federation of the Blind of Kentucky State Convention on
Friday, 9/30/16.

1. The first order of business was to replace the word, "organization"
with that of "division" throughout the TAD Constitution.

2. Current: ARTICLE III: Membership

To comply with the constitution of the National Federation of the Blind of
Kentucky and the National Federation of the Blind, a good faith effort shall
be made by this organization to maintain a membership consisting of a
majority of blind members.

Proposed: ARTICLE III: Membership

To comply with the constitution of the National Federation of the Blind of
Kentucky and the National Federation of the Blind, This division will
maintain a membership consisting of a majority of blind members.

3. Current: Section III-Expulsion

Any member may be expelled for violation of this Constitution or for conduct
unbecoming to a member of the Federation by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the
active members. Any person who feels that he/she has been unjustly expelled
from this organization may appeal to the Board of Directors of the National
Federation of the Blind of Kentucky.

Proposed: Section III-Expulsion

Any member may be expelled for violation of this Constitution or for conduct
unbecoming to a member of the Federation by a majority vote of the active
members present and voting at any regular business meeting of this Division.
The Board of Directors of the National Federation of the Blind of Kentucky,
or the state convention of this organization may reinstate any person who
has been expelled, unless such expulsion has been confirmed by the National
Convention or by the Board of Directors of the National Federation of the
Blind, in which event the person may not be reinstated except by the
National convention or by the National Board. Any person who feels that
he/she has been unjustly expelled from this Division may appeal first to the
Board of Directors of the National Federation of the Blind of Kentucky. The
individual also has the right to appeal to the Board of Directors of the
National Federation of the Blind, which may (in its discretion) consider the
matter and make a binding decision.

These are the proposed changes. This will be posted for 30 days. Members of
the Technology Assistance Division are asked to review and make comments
that you deem necessary.

Thank you,

Todd
