Below is information on non Smithsonian events this weekend (three  on 
Saturday and one on Sunday). 

Saturday, October 2, 2010

Event 1: 24th Annual Aids Walk Washington from 8:15-11 am. Runners and 
walkers assemble at 7:00 am at Freedom Plaza on Pennsylvania Avenue NW,

between 13th and 14th Streets. 
Street Closings: The walk and run will begin at 14th and Pennsylvania 
Avenue and proceed east to 3rd Street, continue on Pennsylvania Avenue
to 
E Street SW between 2nd and 3rd Streets  Washington Avenue SW between 
Independence Avenue and 2nd Street, from 3rd to west of 4th Streets, to 
Pennsylvania Avenue and return to Freedom Plaza for the finish. At 3:00 
am, Pennsylvania avenue will be closed between 13th and 14th Streets.
They 
will begin rolling closures at 8:30 am. Streets will reopen as 
participants pass through. All streets should be completely open by 2:00
pm.

Event 2: Nation Working Together Rally, Lincoln Memorial from 12-4
pm(http://www.onenationworkingtogether.org/content/main).
Metro: Will open an hour early at 6 a.m. for the rally.

Event 3: 2010 National Memory Walk from 10:00 am-12:00 pm.
Street Closings: Participants will assemble in and around Nationals
Park. 
They will walk around the park and down Half Street SE between N and M 
Streets SE. They will exit Nationals Park from centerfield gate on Half 
Street, cross over to N Street and walk down Half Street SE to M Street,

SE, turn around and walk along the sidewalk proceeding back towards N 
Street SE, cross N Street SE, and turn right proceeding along the 
sidewalk, turn left on sidewalk (do not cross street) proceed down South

Capitol Street SE towards Potomac Avenue, turn left at Potomac Avenue to

1st Street, turn left on 1st Street to N Street,  turn left at N Street
to 
the centerfield gate.

Sunday October 3, 2010

Event 1: 2010 Turkish Festival on Pennsylvania Avenue between 13th and 
14th Streets NW from 11:00 am-7:00 pm.
Street Closings: Pennsylvania Avenue will be closed between 13th and
14th 
Streets NW, between 4:00 am and 9:00 pm.
