Hello All,

 

It's that time of year to start thinking of attending BISM's Big Bash.
Listed below are all of the details for this year's event which was
written by Amy and published in our February newsletter, which covers
most details that I am sharing with you about the event.  I have also
attached this year's flyer to it.

 

SM's BIG BASH  

What is BISM's BIG BASH? It is a country-themed dinner, dance, auction,
and gaming fundraising event! 

When is BISM's BIG BASH? It will be held Saturday, March 26, 2011 from
6:00 to 10:00 pm. (Doors will open at 5:15 and dinner will be served
shortly after 6:00.)

Where is BISM's BIG BASH? Our bash will be held at the Mardela Fire Hall
in Mardela, Maryland.

Who is having this BASH? Blind Industries & Services of Maryland (BISM)
senior rehabilitation division is organizing this bash. Our SAIL
students, VIPS, staff, co-workers, friends, and community are helping us
put on this bash. 

Why is BISM having a BIG BASH? This is our 3rd annual event where the
proceeds benefit the senior adult program for Salisbury Training Center
for Blind Seniors. We need on-going support of our training center and
programs for seniors in our community. We also like to have a good time
and celebrate with our seniors, friends, and community.

Who will be performing at BISM's BIG BASH? "Partners of 

Note" Roger and Debbi Williamson will be performing country and folk
tunes. They are talented and fun! There is more information about Roger
& Debbi in this newsletter. They will keep your toes tappin' and your
boot scootin' all evening! The volunteer fire fighters of the Mardela
Fire Station will be in charge of the black jack tables and dice games.
We will have wonderful gifts in the silent and Chinese auction tables.
The gift wheel will be full of wonderful prizes, which is why it is a
very popular spot each year. We search endlessly for fantastic prizes to
offer at the BASH. Your chances of winning many marvelous prizes are
excellent!

What will we eat at BISM's BIG BASH? The woman's auxiliary will prepare
a Country Feast! Pork barbeque, fried chicken, coleslaw, beans, baked
apples, french fries, and desserts! We will have a beer wagon, Pepsi,
tea, and coffee. All for one ticket price!

Tickets will be only $25 in advance and 30 dollars at the door.

We hope to be selling tickets by this coming Monday February 14th.  To
purchase a ticket in the Baltimore office please see Shirley Riffle.  If
you need transportation from Baltimore to Mardela please also see
Shirley Riffle.  In Salisbury sewing see Rebecca, Amy, or Danielle for
tickets and in Salisbury Cutting see Gale for tickets.  For any other
location who would like to purchase a ticket please email Amy Crouse or
Danielle Earl or call us and we will find a way to get you a ticket.  If
you cannot come and you would like to help out in any way you can always
make a donation towards the event.
