[NFBMD] Introduction

Dear Ana:
My name is Aloma Bouma and I am in Baltimore.  I typically don't respond
through a list but I've been looking at how everyone is welcoming you and I
want to do the same.  You are close to the Silver Spring Chapter of NFB
Maryland and it is a great and very active part of the family.  I am sure
Debbie has given you our state President's, Sharon Maneki, information or
just ask Debbie.  She can also help with local transportation such as the
metro (I do not know how close it is to you), the MARC (commuter) train, for
when you want to come to Baltimore, and other transit services in your area.

Have you been a member of NFB in the past?  I think you will make plenty of
good friends here.  We are a very supportive and connected bunch and we are
all friendly and helpful to each other.  If you don't mind my asking can you
tell us what age range you are in, (see, I won't even ask the exact number),
and what are you looking to do--work, school, home, etc?  It might help some
of us have some direction for people you can contact.  Finally, the state
convention of NfBMD will be here in Baltimore the weekend of Oct. 28-30.
You can talk with Debbie or Sharon about that.  I know many of us will make
it a point to find and introduce ourselves to you.  Welcome to Maryland,

Dear List,

So, I've been a lurker for several months now, and I finally thought it time
to introduce myself.

You can all call me Anastasia or Ana. My name will be legally changed to it
before long. I just moved to Germantown from Florida, and I am absolutely
loving it.

Honestly, there's not really much more to say save that I'm eager to learn
about anything and everything that can help me here in Maryland, and that I
am eager to continue discovering all that MD has to offer me that Florida
never could.

It's great to officially join the family.
