Subject: [NFBMD] Important Reminders

Hello all,
If you are coming to the convention, remember that the Maryland table in the exhibit hall is D5. Amber Woods is in charge of the table and she needs you help. If you can work at the table please send her an email at: woodsamber83 at gmail.com<mailto:woodsamber83 at gmail.com>.
Don't forget to attend the MABM Mixer on Saturday, June 23, from 3 to 6 pm at Flavors Restaurant in Baltimore.
Time is running out. We need testers for the new voting tool. This test is being conducting by The University of Baltimore. Please read below:

Usability and Accessibility Testing of New Voting Equipment
The University of Baltimore is testing new voting equipment that is currently under development by the vendor of Maryland's ballot marking devices. We'd like to help them make usability and accessibility decisions about this voting equipment while it is still in development. Right now, it is a lot easier for them to make improvements.

What you will do: Vote a sample ballot on a new ballot marking device and share feedback

When: June 2018, multiple days and times available

Where: University of Baltimore, 1420 N Charles St, Room 239<https://maps.google.com/?q=1420+N+Charles+St,+Room+239&entry=gmail&source=g>

Incentives: Participants will receive $80 for a one-hour session

Contact: Dr. Kathryn Summers, ksummers at ubalt.edu<mailto:ksummers at ubalt.edu>

The National Federation of the Blind of Maryland knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want; blindness is not what holds you back.
