Seeking a highly skilled senior web accessibility consultant to provide the following web accessibility services.

 

*         Update the County’s Web Accessibility Governance Guideline to be compliant with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) - Version 2.0 Level A and AA

*         Update Web Accessibility Training Course Content to be compliant with the new Web Accessibility Governance Guideline

*         Audit a representative sample of County SharePoint Online Intranet Site web pages and document findings

o   The sample should include the following:

*  Intranet Home Page ( <http://mcgov.sharepoint.com/> mcgov.sharepoint.com)

*  Intranet Child Page: Root Level ( <http://mcgov.sharepoint.com/pages/departments.aspx> mcgov.sharepoint.com/pages/departments.aspx)

*  Intranet Subsite Home Page ( <http://mcgov.sharepoint.com/teams/dts/> mcgov.sharepoint.com/teams/dts/)

*  Intranet Subsite Child Page ( <http://mcgov.sharepoint.com/teams/dts/pages/*.aspx> mcgov.sharepoint.com/teams/dts/pages/*.aspx

Qualifications

*         Over 5 years of experience in providing web accessibility consulting, audits, and training services and materials

*         understand basic web site development life-cycles and responsive web design principals and coding languages (i.e.:  HTML, CSS 3, Bootstrap 3.3.x, and JavaScript/jQuery) used by the Montgomery County Department of Technology Services to effectively work with project team members and application developers

*         have a thorough understanding or knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level A/AA / Section 508 standards

*         help County staff to identify and solve web accessibility issues with responsive Intranet and Internet user interfaces and templates and their associated scripts and associated style sheets creatively and effectively

*         present and perhaps defend findings and key milestone deliverables to stakeholders
