This position is located in the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA),
Agricultural Research Service, National Agricultural Library (NAL),
Information Products Division, Information and Customer Services Branch,
Nutrition and Food Safety Program.

This is a temporary, excepted service position not-to-exceed 1 year or less
and may be extended in increments not-to-exceed 1 year or less for up to 8
years in total, when the student intern remains eligible for the program..

 

Major Duties Include:

*	Support identification on new resources, outreach to partner
organizations/agencies for new content, and overall management of website
functionality.
*	Aid in the development of content to be used on social media
platforms.
*	Support the development of the library's digital collections and
exhibits that pertain to nutrition and food safety.
*	Support the public reference services at NAL as they pertain to
nutrition and food safety.
*	Support the process for responding to public inquiries, including
training on the internal reference tracking systems.
