The below research participant solicitation is being provided for informational purposes only. The National Federation of the Blind has no involvement in this research, but we believe that it may contribute to our research mission.

The Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute is seeking individuals who wish to partake in our study.
The goal of our study is to assess the vision of those who are "Ultra Low Vision", or those who have bare light and shadow perception.
The data used from this study will help promote independence, autonomy, and accessibility among the blind community.

Hopkins' study consists of an approximately 2 hour long Virtual Reality (VR) simulation. The VR simulation is primarily conducted at Hopkins, however, we are willing to travel to you if you feel that transportation would be difficult for you.
Upon completion of the VR simulation, the individual will receive $20.
A flyer, which also outlines our study, is attached.

To be eligible, you must fulfill all of the below requirements.
- Be at least 14 years of age.
- Be "Ultra Low Vision" or have bare light and shadow perception.
