Hi Graham,
wanted to take a minute and thank you for your help in promoting the Technology User Group and the presentations that we do. As you have no doubt observed, technical skills are a valued commodity in the workplace but also in our personal lives. In our blindness community, if you don’t have even average tech skills you will be left without immediate transportation, food and other types of assistance. My goal, as I do these presentations, is to try to encourage those who have insufficient skills to embrace technology and to not be afraid to branch out of the comfort area. Because you are a leader of people, you know the individuals who are struggling in their day-to-day life.
Please encourage them to attend one of our presentations and to let them know that there is assistance waiting from them should he/she desire additional training.
Attend by calling (319-527-4994. All meetings begin at 10 AM and will last about 90 minutes.
May 9: food delivery apps: doordash, postmates, Instacart, uber eats, and grubHub.
June 13: BlindShell Mobile Phone
July 11: Google Docs & Sheets
August 8: OrCam
September 12: IOS 14
I truly appreciate all that you do and I know your schedule is a busy one.
