Hello Everyone,
We hope that you all will join us for our virtual holiday gathering on
Monday December 14 at 7 PM! Note that this month's chapter event will
not be taking place on our usual Thursday date.
At the gathering, we will go over some business, and then we will
enjoy some festive virtual activities, including making some holiday
beverages, a trivia game, and one of our members will be sharing about
some traditions for celebrating the holidays in Porter Rico.
If you would like to participate in the virtual beverage making, here
are the two recipes so that you can get the ingredients in advance and
make your drinks alongside us. For those who elect  not to imbibe, we
recommend substituting apple cider for the liquor proportionally:
Hot toddy:
1 teaspoon honey
2oz boiling water
1.5oz whiskey
3 (whole) cloves
1 Cinnamon stick
1 slice of lemon (and zest of lemon)
1 pinch ground nutmeg

Hot buttered rum:
2 teaspoons brown sugar
2oz boiling water
1.5oz rum
3 (whole) cloves
1 cinnamon stick
1 slice orange  (and zest of orange)
1 pinch ground nutmeg
2 teaspoons room temp butter
