Just a reminder that the University of Maryland Extension, Office of Family
and Consumer Sciences, and the Library are hosting joint
teleconferences every month during the year. Our next program is:

However, for far too many, the holidays are socially isolating,
anxiety-filled times - even when visiting with family and friends. Join
Dhruti Patel to discuss social isolation, depression, and stress during the
holiday season. Learn to prevent isolation and depression for yourself and

Our speaker:
Dhruti Patel is a tenured Family and Consumer Sciences Educator with The
University of Maryland Extension. She received her Bachelors, Post Graduate
Diploma, and Masters in the field of clinical nutrition and dietetics She
possesses 16 years of clinical, community, and academic experience in the
field of nutrition. Her specialization involves nutrition, health
promotion, mindfulness, stress management, worksite wellness, geriatric
health, and food preservation.
