[NFBMD] Braille is Beautiful players needed

I agree he and Mrs. Maurer would be great for this and so many other things for the convention, in the affiliate, and so on.  I for one would love to see him in the title role because he’s so talented and also because I love the symbolism of him doing that.  If he can’t do this, I’d love for us to potentially re-record this particular play with him in the title role for us to have for the future.

Hi Debbie,

Have you thought of recruiting Dr. Maurer? He has fewer official convention duties nowadays so he might be willing to participate; it seems like something he might enjoy especially given it’s about louis Braille. Mrs. Maurer might be good as well.

We are looking for people to participate in the play on Friday night at the NFB of Maryland convention.   We will sit around the table and read a play in braille.  You do not need great theatrical talent, but you do need to read braille.  We will have several practices, so don’t worry if you aren’t a really fast braille reader.

This play has a lot of male parts, so we are encouraging anyone to participate, but we especially need guys!

We will try to rehearse at least three times before the convention.  We will rehearse on Zoom.
