[NFBMD] MD State Library to host CASH Campaign

The Maryland State Library for the Blind and Print Disabled (LBPD) is
pleased to announce a new partnership with the CASH Campaign of Maryland.
LBPD will host two upcoming programs in honor of Money Smart Week, a
national public education program coordinated by the Federal Reserve Bank
of Chicago that empowers people with the knowledge and skills to make
better-informed personal financial decisions.

The two events will be held virtually via Zoom. Registration is highly
encouraged. *Registration opens March 20th.*

   Earn it, Plan it, Keep it  - April 12, 2023, at 6 PM. This class will
   help participants reflect on their habits, reactions, and values about
   money;  understand what role money plays in their lives; and understand
   budgets as a function of income and expenses. This groundwork will assist
   participants in understanding the concept and application of budgeting,
   avoid common pitfalls or barriers they may face in sticking to a budget,
   and create strategies to maximize their earnings.

   How to Build a Positive Credit Score and History  - April 26, 2023, at 6
   PM. Today, strong credit is important for accessing a mortgage loan,
   personal loans, renting an apartment, and more. This workshop will teach
   you the main factors that make up a credit score, the costs associated with
   having a loan, and various strategies on how to build a positive credit
   history with the right credit products for you.
