IMAGINEERING OUR FUTURE

-------------------------

PRESIDENT'S LETTER

Before I met the Federation, the beliefs I held were not of equality and
opportunity, but disparity and anonymity. The persistent misunderstandings
we encounter often cause us to internalize external low expectations. More
from President Riccobono [2].

CHALLENGE EXPECTATIONS EVERY DAY

"I always wanted to study science, and I craved an understanding of things
people said were visual and out of reach for me. The NFB helps me know that
refusing to accept low expectations is not just okay but essential." Learn
more about challenging career expectations [3].

LATEST NEWS AT THE NFB

NFB responds with video about misconceptions about blindness, disability
advocates sue to stop unlawful cuts to Social Security services, comments
on reduction in force at Department of Education, and Braille reading
contest winners announced. Catch up on the latest news in the Federation

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines blind people or their future. Every day we
raise the expectations of and for blind people, because low expectations
create obstacles between blind people and our dreams. We can live the lives
we want; blindness is not what holds us back. Please join us in our work by
becoming a member, attending an event, sharing this newsletter, or
supporting our programs.
