Hello all,
Save the date June 7th from 1:30pm-5pm for a zoom discussion on who should have an ABLE account. The advocacy committee will present Kelly Nelson Outreach and Communications Manager of the Maryland ABLE Program, who will speak on the ABLE program and will be able to answer all of your questions.
The time to investigate the ABLE (achieving a better life experience program) is now!
Starting in January 2026 more people will be eligible to get an ABLE account because in January 2026 the age of the onset of your disability will be raised from 26 years of age to 46 years of age.
Send a message offline to nfbmdsm at gmail.com <mailto:nfbmdsm at gmail.com> if you are planning to attend this talk. We will send you the zoom link closer to the event.
Learn how to keep your benefits and how to use money for disability services. Don't miss learning about achieving a better life experience through MarylandABLE.

The National Federation of the Blind of Maryland knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Everyday we raise the expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want; blindness is not what holds you back.
