Award

 

Congratulations to the Inspirational 3 Support Foundation (I3S) for
receiving the 2026 Bolotin Award from the National Federation of the Blind.
I3S received $5,000 and recognition at the NFB national convention.

 

I3S provides peer-to-peer support to blind and low vision individuals in the
Greater Baltimore / DC area.  I3S meets twice a week - Tuesdays and
Thursdays and has been in existence for 12 years.  This organization
provides a community for individuals to connect, including health and
wellness activities on Thursdays and game nights, family and community
activities, and other social and educational activities on Tuesdays.

 

I3S was founded by Joyce Brooks, Richard Pratt, and Lois Staves.  Joyce
Brooks accepted the award on behalf of the organization.  

 

Many members of the NFB of Maryland community regularly participate in I3S
activities.  Joyce Brooks is a board member of the NFBMD Greater Prince
George's County Chapter, where Lois Staves is also an active member.

 

Congratulations to the I3S Foundation on this prestigious award.
