Fellow Federationists,

I have been asked to share the following-see below.

Cordially,

Ellen

BCI Research Study:
We are running a small study to determine if Brain Computer Interface
technology (BCI) could be used as an alternative input modality for the
purposes of entering an authentication code. We are specifically
looking for eight participants who are legally-blind (no or very limited
residual vision, relying on use of a screen reader), to participate.
The study will take place over a 90-120 minute session. During this
session, the participants will perform tasks involving the use the
Emotiv EPOC BCI headset to send commands to a PC. No prior experience
with BCI technology is needed.
The study will be conducted in person either at UMBC, or an alternative
venue on/off-campus (at participant's convenient place). The
participants will each receive $20 as
compensation for their time.
Please contact Sy Saulynas to schedule an appointment, saulyn1 at umbc.edu<mailto:saulyn1 at umbc.edu>.
