Hello everyone,

On Thursday, March 12, 2020, at 4 p.m., Governor Hogan elevated the State
to Advanced Level II of the Pandemic Flu and Infectious Diseases Policy. In
his Executive Order, he declared public access to State buildings will be
prohibited.'

Therefore, effective immediately, and until further notice, the Maryland
State Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped will be closed. This
includes all activities planned for Saturday, March 14, 2020.

The Maryland State Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped will
continue to provide services through direct mail and via the library’s
Braille and Audio Reading Download Service (BARD). More information about
the BARD and other library services can be found on the library’s website:
www.lpbh.maryland.gov.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me:

Best regards,

Ashley
