Gov.  Paterson Fined $62,125 for Taking World Series Tickets

The state ethics commission has fined Gov. David A. Paterson $62,125 for soliciting and accepting free World Series tickets from the New York Yankees last

year. The commission noted that the Yankees have numerous issues before state government, creating a conflict of interest for Mr. Paterson.

 

In its finding, it also noted that the testimony offered by Mr. Paterson, in which he said he always intended to pay for the tickets, was refuted by his
