JoAnn Pilarski (MI '94)

has been appointed by Governor John Engler to the Michigan Commission for the Blind, which assists blind persons in overcoming vocational handicaps and

obtaining the maximum degree of self-support and self-care. Members are appointed with advice and consent of the State Senate. Pilarski, a teacher at Maple

Ridge Elementary School, will serve on the commission until September 30, 2003.
