Dearr interested NFBNewsline subscribers and/or professionals in the field,
Firstly, I would like to thank everyone for their support and help in letting folks know about NFBNewsline and teaching folks to use the service.
I wanted to let people know where they can get info about some of the new updates to Newsline.
 1. The web site
www.nfbnewsline.org
will explain the new features. I cannot be real specific because it would depend on each persons preference for what features they want.
2. I have the following cd's I can mail out upon request to teachers/counselors or anyone else who is interested in receiving them
a. NFBNewsline instructions: A tutorial on NFBNewsline using a regular telephone. This is the same as choice 9 on the main menu of NFBNewsline via the phone.
b. NFBNewsline online: Explains a couple of the new features on NFBNewsline- in your pocket and Web News on Demand as well as giving a brief description of the other options.
c. NFBNewsline update: This explains the updates to NFBNewsline including podable news: for use with your Mp3 player.

NFB Newsline is also on Facebook and Twitter.
3. Please keep us informed about address changes and your email address as well.

4. www.NFBNewslineonline.org
does not require a high speed internet connection. I am a former board member and presently volunteer at Genesee Freenet
phone: 810-720-2880. This is a low cost option for dial up internet access and is available statewide. If you know someone who could use this service, the web site is
www.gfn.org

The service is a nonprofit and operates out of a church here in Flint and is operated by volunteers who are retired professionals in I T or related fields and College students in I T who are supervised. The phone support is very good.

5. Lastly, I have cassettes that are called Introduction to NFBNewsline: a 10 minute demonstration of the service via the phone.
6. On a different note, I have brochures
a. The first is a simple tri-fold explaining the service.
b. The second is a very detailed brochure about NFBNewsline (I would suggest it for teachers/counselors and others who are somewhat technically inclined.
c. I can also offer either brochure with an application.

Just let me know how many you want. Also, I can email a digital copy of either brochure to you.
7. Folks can sign up for NFBNewsline via the web at
www.nfbnewsline.org
7. If anyone has suggestions, complaints or needs help please let me know via phone at
517-338-4064 or you may email me at
gakitchen at gfn.org

8. I almost forgot but we have Braille available upon request of either brochure and the "How to User Guide."

Again, thank you for your help over the years. We couldn't make the service work without your help.

Sincerely,

Georgia Kitchen
