  1. Cook Magic Talking Microwave for $99.99
We believe we've found a place with the Cook Magic/Hamilton Beach Talking Microwave in stock for a reasonable price. Bombay Electronics has it listed for $99.99. Shipping starts around $16. This is the current lowest price we know to be available. It speaks in either English or Spanish and has built-in settings for many popular foods. The blindness-oriented catalogs are selling this for $149 or more.

  2. IVONA SAPI 5 Accessibility Package for $99 Shipped
IVONA offers their text-to-speech accessibility package for $99. To get the deal, use coupon code 2B8LW3 when prompted, which gives you $10 off. This package gives you two high quality SAPI 5 voices and is available in both U.S. and British accents. Audio samples are available from the page. Deal ends October 22.

  3. Nokia N75 Black (Unlocked Quadband) RECONDITIONED GSM Cell Phone for $104.99 Shipped
CellHut has the Nokia N75 Black (Unlocked Quadband) RECONDITIONED GSM Cell Phone for $129.99 with free shipping. Coupon NKN75 drops the price to $104.99. This flip-style phone has a numeric keypad, MicroSD memory card slot, and supports Mobile Speak or Talks.

  4. Wireless Doorbell and Receiver for $4.49 Shipped
CellularFactory.com has a wireless door chime and receiver for $4.49. Use coupon code 1SKEOI on the shopping cart page to get free shipping. It has a range of up to 100 meters and can be assembled without screws or wires. It requires 2 AAA batteries. Coupon ends October 20.

  5. Accessible T-Mobile G2 for $99.99 Shipped with Service
Thanks to a reader tip, we learned that Wirefly has the T-Mobile G2 cell phone for $99.99 with a new two-year contract. It's $100 less than buying the phone directly from T-Mobile. It runs Android 2.2 and includes a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and support for T-Mobile's 4G data network. It's compatible with accessibility services such as Talkback and Spiel. To get the deal, follow the link on this post, enter your ZIP code, and then select the T-Mobile checkbox. Thanks to brannan on Twitter for the tip.

  6. Walk Score Attempts to Give an Idea of How Walkable a Neighborhood Is
The idea behind Walk Score is to provide data on how walkable a neighborhood is. Type in an address and you'll receive a score between 0 and 100, based on the proximity of nearby grocery stores, schools, restaurants, entertainment, and other categories. If used as a general tool, it's a good way to see if there will be a lot of nearby businesses in an area. Some of the data used is a bit suspect, however. For a nearby address, it labeled a landlord's office as entertainment. Perhaps this could be true if a fight broke out, but normally, not so much. Also, it's hard to judge the usefulness of a nearby business. For instance, there is a couple of grocery stores near an address we entered, but nothing that comes close to a full-service grocery. It also doesn't take into account the availability of sidewalks, pedestrian paths, or friendly street crossings. That all being said, it's another interesting way to learn about neighborhoods and what's available nearby. Thanks to turtlecatpurrz on Twitter for the tip.
