When I asked for only accountability and transparency of public officials while you, Ms. Rose owe your life and livelihood and the very home you live in based upon the taxpayer including your kidneys you have a whole lot of gall in this inflammatory and again, ad honimunum attack upon myself.

Now, why don't you explain to the public here how much you think about the so-called taxpayer when your very own education, job, and everything else you have is at the behest of the taxpayer? Why don't you explain in specific here how you got your homes? Were they gotten at the purportedly and implied brave new world, sort of Horatio Algers type of assertion that you made all this money etc. in the "dreaded private sector"? No, you made everything in your life on the backs of the so-called taxpayer, including your education, jobs, and your valued homes.

You have never earned to my knowledge and correct me if I'm wrong here please one thin dime that wasn't at the government trough.

Do not get me wrong here for I'm not against a well run government, and I'm certainly not against government programs. In fact I'm a democratic-socialist and do think that certain governmental programs are worthwhile including of course VR and IL programs.

But, I'm not a hypocrite in that on the one hand I kiss the backside over and over again of those who abuse governmental programs while at the same time taking every benefit from them I can like you do over and again, over again.

In fact your very profession and a valued one at that in general in my mind overall, being a social Worker is that of governmental employee. I do not besmirch it per se, And again honor itgenerally speaking, but totally am opposed to hypocrites such as yourself who tsuck at the public trough and again denigrate those of whom you nominally serve.

Moreover, you wouldn't even be alive if it weren't for social activists, such as myself who literally has laid himself on the line for civil rights being arrested several times in acts of civil disobedience fighting for the rights of the likes of you including your rights to get a new kidney under Medicaire and Medicaid and so on and so forth....

Bottom line Ms. self-rightious...Don't mess with me and don't pea on my head whilst you tell me it's raining.

I'll acknoledge a whole lot of debate over this or that. And I'll take whole boatloads of crap in my work to make a better life for all people with disabilities. But, I will not suffer any ad honinum attacks without fighting back from the likes of you who have benefitted directly from my and others like my activism and then have the unmitigated gall to piss on us for the effort.

The outrage here is that you are bright and you know civil rights. And the outrage is your selfish and self-centerred outrages not only against the likes of me but our entire class.

I would not be so outraged at some sort of dumb person in these regards. the outrage and contempt for the likes of you, Donna, and Cannon for that matter is that you are both smart enough by conventional terms to know just exactly how much you've both, again for self-centerred and selfish reason have sold the entire class out.

Regardless it is your hypocrisy and your abject allegiance to the grossly discriminatory and hypocritical and sell out actions of Geno, in his inflammatory, fanatical, and fundamental abuses of those who happen to be gay, among other reasons , also including ironically the most anti-democratic process inherent in his and your actions, as to why I long ago disassociated with the MCBVI.

Man, you all had the so-called message of hope, civil rights and other things. But, really what you all were about was the petty needs and wants and whining of a few. You talk the talk of democratic process but you've whittled down MCBVI to a narrow corridor of pretty much nothing in the Western part of the State of Michigan and a little island in Port Huron undr a familial control.

You want to write or talk about more? I'm happy to do so.

You want to fight the wrongs of some in NFB over issues of consequence? You know I'm happy to do so like on the Treasury suit, etc. I've done that before and I'll do it again.

But, here sister is the fact: ""NFB especially in Michigan and to a great extent nationally has changed and has moved in a positive direction over all and most certainly to my satisfaction over this decade in fact and deed.

MCBVI has become and is a lap dog for the most virulent and protracted and the most chronic and pervasive acts of mass discrimination of the State of Michigan against the blind that I've ever seen. And you and Geno are the poster children for all of this.

And for you and others who on some occasions to have held NFB, sometimes rightfully wrong for engaging in ad honimum attacks such as this one on me that you've perpetrated here is again simply incredible and most hypocritical.

But, frankly it doesn't surprise me for this has been your pattern and practice for now many years.

for while on the one hand you've talked a "progressive/liberal" game on the other hand you've kkow towed to the most virulent, and discriminatory game of the "power brokers", "elites", and all that hold and act with tyranny, and exploitation, prejudice, and stereotype against us.

My Lord you and the likes of Geno don't even stand behind your own resolutions and other actions in regards to accessible information or even raised character and Braille signage here! These things as you know I wrote and MCBVI before your personal reign along with Geno of tyranny in the nominal b=name of democracy against the likes of Austin, et al is history and documented history at that ...
You didn't stand behind me either when in MCBVI when I went on to fight for accessible voting though you are recipients and benefactors, sad as it is of my many battles in that regards.

No, you will be known for what you are. That is dart throwers at those who work for your liberation while you suck up to the very people who exploit and offend in everyway our people.

You and Geno were great on the Christine Boone issue too right?

Oh my here you made every case that NFB whether right or wrong would make against ACB by your open acquiescence to abuse of a qualified blind person by a series of hacks like Cannon, Morro, and all of those who are just plain wrong and proven wrong by independent resources redundently to the point of nausea, and yet you all persist with your infamy and inflammatory rhetoric; which again you, donna and Geno have so often accused NFB in general of doing over decades. In short even when right the moral calculation is that two wrongs, as my daddy says, never makes one right. Yet, the likes of you and Geno and all of your ilk do not look at facts, or basic issues of right or wrong. You just look at this petty anti and distracting NFB versus ACB thing as if it were a thing in and of itself which is poison, pure poison and the controlling of minds, souls and deeds just as the diversions and distractions of the Democrat versus Republican and visa versa is.

It's all a doge Donna Rose this purely partisan thing!

And you here cave in to the dodge in your personal attacks upon me. for what reason?

Is there basis? Is there merit to these attacks?

No, it only goes to diverting attention to public officials and public actions.

I don't know if you do this for some sort of pay or other consideration and I, quite frankly don't give a damn. I do not judge your soul, or motives, but rather your words and actions over time.

Regardless, I'll continue to fight for openness, transparency and accountability of all programs of this government. I'll continue to fight against cut backs while also continuing to fight for the "social safety net". I'll do this and more and even risk and garner more arrests in the effort to protect you and the likes of you Donna, including Medicaid/Medicare rights.

But, Donna I will not tolerate the type of abuses you've heaped upon me who has and is acting in your interest without a comment and with only a whimper like so many of your ever narrowing sycophants along with those of Geno. within MCBVI
or the narrow, again and very open and abject behind kissing of same to MCB and Cannon especially in light of documented and mass civil rights abuses.

  Joe H.,

As a tax payer, I really think you should have to pay a reasonable amount for the gathering of documents and videos passed the first couple of requests or so. For goodness sakes you are asking them for stuff every five minutes and I don't want to have to keep paying the workers for these distractions. If you hadn't created such resistance among these individuals they might be more cooperative.

They are getting paid to run the government and I am certain they don't mind a couple of reasonable requests for documents, but when you constantly hound them they are taken away from work. Maybe you don't remember the demands of work? Are you angry with the Commission because they didn't help you find a job? I am certain they could help you with that, but even that is your ultimate responsibility once you have been trained.

Joe this constant wining is making people who are blind look like helpless cry babies. You need to get on with your life and stop taking the stance of a victim. Why are you allowing these governmental shortcomings to ruin the one shot you will get to grab opportunity and have a happy life? People who are blind or visually impaired are capable human-beings, just like any other citizen. The fact we are blind doesn't have to be the issue you are making it. You have the intelligence and ability to be something other than a bother to everyone else. Throughout my entire work life I have had to make my own way in a sighted world which has always been less than perfect, regardless of the laws. This has not hurt me in the least. Actually it has improved my problem solving skills immensely. It can be frustrating sometimes, but doable.

Government will never provide everything you want or need in life, even at its best. People who are blind or visually impaired all over this country are making their own way everyday, with or without the ADA regulations. You will live a sad dreary life if you wait for anyone else to rescue you from this noncompliance hell you apparently have put yourself into.

Anyone being served through the Michigan Commission for the Blind can walk away at any time. The services they offer aren't mandatory. They aren't even required. In America we have the freedom to move anywhere we want and seek help from any service we choose. In 1975 I took $300 and moved to Little Rock, AR, where I learned to appreciate the services in Michigan and came back five years later.

It is really amusing to me how many people who the Commission spent a lot of money helping, have the most complaints and they never went to work after training. This is the real issue and why some believe rehabilitation fails for people with disabilities. If you had a job you wouldn't have all of this time to complain and you would be spending your extra money enjoying your existence. Maybe it is time for you to consider trying it somewhere else for a while. Short of this, just file a civil rights complaint and be done with it. Are you afraid of losing?

Joe, don't continue to allow others to dictate your happiness. Everyone runs out of time faster than they realize. You are no exception.

  Go Bravely,

In fact to this very day, July 29, 2011 all findings and all corrective actions relative to this RSA monitoring report coverring four fiscal years is not forthcoming to members of the MCB Board, members of the public, RSA itself, or anyone and constitutes gross and willfull violations of the effective communications requirements of the ADA, Section 5904 and even common sense. It is hardly "timely" in accordence with tyler v. Manhattan given the passage of time.

Where is government accountability of this federally funded program and, of course with the corrollary civil rights responsabilities to deliver to members of the public with disabilities information in accessible format and a timely manner?

Mr. Cannon in his conversation with me over the telephone today again asked me what information he or this agency hasn't deliverred to me in a timely and accessible manner. Well they didn't give me or others information in the public domain relative to the RSA monitoring then and they still haven't now in full and in toto.

How much do I have to prove about the malicious and deliberate violations over time of this scofflaw federally funded agency and the gross and malicious violations of Patrick D. Cannon in these regards.

Oh, by the way the following segment after my signature line was my personal transcript in part done at extreme from the audio that I had to get by hook and by crook of that meeting at issue.

Should I charge the State of Michigan, MCB and LARA the untolds thousands of dollars of unpaid labor for doing their job like one Melvin Farmer tryies to do with casual guesstimates about his spurrious FOIA requests?

Say, I want the $24.0o0 per hour that all these state scofflaws try to charge me for getting information that is ddue the public and myself upon rrequest.

It is far past time for federal enforcement agencies and the likes of Michigan Protection and Advocacy Services, Inc. another recipient of federal funds to enforce the ADA and Section 504 for not only myself, but for the entire class of people who are legally blind in this State and in these regards.

This is a part of several ongoing complaints and documentation of same.

Denote the e-mail and the date and the information after my signature line here:

    Sincerely,

    Paul Joseph Harcz, Jr.

    Attachment:
Note to Interested Parties at RSA, June

    23, 2010

These are a part of my transcripts from the Second Open Session of the Michigan Commission for the Blind May 3, 2010 meeting. They are starting with a public comment and then Commissioners respond they have none of the data and information required by the Rehabilitation Act for such a Commission in the implementing regulations. So it is clear that not only are consumers, stakeholders and others denied this information but even the members of the Michigan Commission for the Blind don’t have it.

Again that is in violation of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 implementing regulations!

This is simply incredible on top of more incredible.

    Sincerely,

    Paul Joseph Harcz, Jr.

(Attached segment of transcript (COM mentors are MCB Commissioners and Director of MCB Patrick Cannon except for Joe Sonntag who was making the public comment):

    Joe Sonntag:

Oh, yes Joe Sonntag (here) and I just wanted to say that in reference to the little discussion regarding the monitoring mission, or the visit from RSA. There has been attempts recently on the part of a few blind consumers who are attempting to get access to the findings of that report and (there are) some suspicions.

I’m personally not alleging anything. I can only say to you here today that it’s my hope that the Director and commission board will do what it can within reason to see to it that that information becomes a matter of public record where it belongs of course. And that consumers and other interested individuals get easy access to it.

It seems like it has been a long time in coming. And the only thing we know right now is that we’re being told that none of the details are available to us common folk because RSA asks that there be no release of the information until the final report has been prepared.

..To me that makes sense but it may not to others …

One of the strongest cases I’ve heard allegations that the Commission for the Blind is keeping state secrets in the manner of the old Soviet Union.

It’s not my position, but it’s out there and I think you need to be aware of it. And I hope (couldn’t hear all) and I hope a change is made on that front very soon.”

    Pilarski:

“Uh, I I would respond that we don’t have it yet. Right?”

(Several commissioners hard to hear which ones…)

    “I haven’t seen it…I’ve asked…And it’s not here…some giggles…”

    Michael Geno:

“It’s not available to me. I haven’t seen it. (But, it was referred to in this meeting.”

    Cannon:

“No that was the draft report..”

    Geno:

    (I think Sonntag:

“Yea that’s what we’re talking about.”

    Cannon:

“And when the report is release by RSA we will distribute it broadly. We will post it on our web site. And we will give it to anyone who asks for it in the media of their choice.”
