Disability Connection West Michigan was honored by the Michigan
Commission for the Blind for helping people with visual impairments to
find work.

The Achievement Honor Roll Awards were presented Oct. 21 in Lansing to
blind people who are "exemplary" in achieving employment and
independent living, employers who are leaders in hiring people with
visual impairments and organizations that partner with the commission
to help blind people achieve independence.

Disability Connection West Michigan was one of three employers
honored. The organization hired three Michigan Commission for the
Blind clients and helped four others find jobs in the Muskegon
community in recent years, as well as providing mentoring, MCB said.
