Well sad to say windows 8 will not work for the blind. I have a few people I 
talk too and it's just not stable enough and doesn't have the stuff needed 
for screen readers to run, not even NVDA.
The mac has very good support, Apple is one of those companies that actually 
does what they say they'll do, and most software for the mac, not all but 
most, is free or very cheap for a very large feature set.
