Dear Mr. Arwood,

 

The Michigan Commission for the Blind Board has completed its 2011 performance evaluation of the director of the agency.  Commissioners rated Mr. Cannon’s performance on the seven objectives and sixteen competencies as a 1.35, below expectations. 

 

This rating continues a downward trend in Mr. Cannon’s performance evaluations over several years.  While in 2008 he was rated at 2.8 by commissioners, that rating went down steadily over the next three years.  In 2009, he received a rating of 2.55, in 2010,  a rating of 2.1, just barely meeting expectations, and this year, a 1.35, below expectations in most areas.  

 

Our comments on each objective and competency are below the average rating for each item.  We look forward to meeting you at a commission board meeting in 2012.
