Dear Ms. Boone,
Thank you. As you know I hold you blameless in this affair, But I am not sanguine about the culpability and the chronic disregard of the ADA/504 by the MCB Director and/or other state of Michigan entities including DTMB.
This was at both instances a gross violation of the alteration triggers of the ADA by the aforementioned responsible parties. Moreover, it was a violation of the ADA and 504 to hold a public hearing in any facility that does not provide required "program access" under both of these laws and even under Title I (Rehabilitation Act) requirements for same.
Sincerely,
Paul "Joe" Harcz, Jr.

Dear Mr. Harcz:
As you know, compliance with the ADA is of great importance to me. Therefore I am pleased to report the current status of this facility with regard to the posting of such signage. I am in receipt of a directive from MCB Director Pat Cannon, who informed me that LARA Chief Deputy Mike Zimmer was in receipt of your Complaint and has asked that we make this training center fully ADA compliant with regard to accessible Braille and raised character signage with all deliberate speed.
I want you to know that the fully compliant signage that was formerly posted at the Training Center has been recovered from storage and is appropriately mounted throughout this facility. Necessarily there are some gaps that exist because of our recent and most excellent renovation. Some of our existing signage will suffice as accurate marking in the interim and new Signage is being designed to provide more thorough identification of our expanded programming. Phase 2 of this project will involve the replacement of original signage to meet the new color scheme and, in some cases, to update wording.
I am sorry for any delay in the reinstallation of the Braille and raised character signage at this Training Center. As you know, our staff did attempt to mitigate the absence of signage immediately upon our readmittance to this facility after all of our equipment, furnishings, materials and supplies were moved back into the building. We all appreciate your understanding.
With Warm Regards,
Christine

Dear Director Cannon,
This is a complaint made under the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 against you and all other responsible individuals relative to the fact that the MCB Training center is and was non-compliant with both laws in its recent renovation. In fact you held public hearings in March and their was not and still does this training center for the blind not have required raised character and Brail signage.
It is an outrage for ththis to be done under your watch and you as the former head of the United States Access Board knows or should know the rules.
You sir must be construed to have willfully and maliciously violated my and others civil rights with malice of forethought.
You should be fired on the spot for such a violation.
OCR, the DOJ and all that is holy should consider this a systemic and documented complaint against you and your person and against the State of Michigan as a whole.
It is simply incredible to me that the letter of the law isn't
T followed in these regards.
Sincerely,
Paul Joseph Harcz, Jr.
