Just incase any of you need this, this is the convention flyer.

National Federation of the Blind of Michigan
2012 State Convention
Taking Charge of Your Own Destiny
When: October 19th - October 21st 2012
Where: Doubletree Hotel, 5801 Southfield Rd, Detroit MI 48228. To reserve rooms call 313-336-3340. Nightly rates are $89 plus tax. You can make your reservations before Saturday, October 6th to receive our special rate. When you make your reservations make sure to mention the NFB of Michigan to receive our room rates.
Presented by the National Federation of the Blind of Michigan, this three day convention will be fast paced, fun, interesting and informative. Meet new people, learn new things and recharge your energy for improving the lives and futures of blind people in Michigan.
Preregistration is going on now through Saturday, October 6th. During this time registration for convention is $15 and a banquet ticket is $35. If you wait after October 6th to register and purchase a banquet ticket, you will pay $20 and $40. As well, there is a lunch available on Saturday afternoon for a fee of $12. To preregister fill out the attached form and send it to Paulette Powell. Make all checks payable to the NFB of Michigan. You may also preregister by visiting our website at www.nfb.org. If you wish to have childcare for state convention contact Diana Mohnke before Saturday October 6th. Contact Diana either by phone at 989-640-3171 or email at d_mohnke18 at yahoo.com
Our National Representative this year is Parnell Diggs. He is an Attorney, Musician, and Family Man.

Friday, October 19:
1 pm - 7 pm Exhibit & Information Room; Dave Robinson coordinator
3 pm - 6 pm Registration & Preregistration Pickup
4 pm - 6 pm Resolutions Committee meeting - resolutions must be submitted by October 6th to Dave Robinson. Contact Dave by email at drob1946 at gmail.com or call 517-775-7943.
7 pm - 9 pm Merchants and Student Seminar; organizing Guide Dog Group
9 pm - Midnight Social Hour - light snacks and beverages provided
Saturday, October 20:
8:30 am - 12:00 pm Morning General Session
12:00 pm - 2:00 pm Lunch break
12:30 pm Memvers at Large Meeting
2:00 pm - 5:00 pm Afternoon General Session
7:00 pm Banquet with an auction following (6 pm Cash Bar opens)
Sunday, October 21:
8:30 am Business Session with elections and resolutions
