[nfbmi-talk] how could it be done

You know the weird thing about this even in the current environment is there
are no standards and requirements even within agencies again for
administration, job developers, assistive technology providers/traners, and
for staff running BEP programs amonst others.

Most, but not all of the certification issue in VR evolves around the Rehab
counselor positions in most states including Michigan they need to have a
degree in the field but need not be certified. It's kind of like one getting
a JD but not taking the bar.

I've left out direct service providrs for the blind in this mix like braille
instructors, rehab teachers, and travel/o and m instructors because that is
too complicated for my brain right now and before another cup of coffee.

I certainly agree with Christine in that certification or licensure hasn't
always, if ever guaranteed a sucessful outcome.

On the other hand the current administration of BSBP with and without
credentials wouldn't know rehabilitation if it bit them on their backsides.

Any sucessful outcomes nowadays which in spite of Kisial's recent lies at
the MCRC meeting, are either purely accidential or due to heroic measures by
both individual consumers and the handful of dedicated front line employees
who have to fight a virtual guerrilla war to be successful.
