Sure thing Kane! I was just thinking the other day about those who use the 
cane as a symbol and not a tool. Some folks only use it when its convinent 
and then put it away. They'll say the cane is too long or too inconvinenet 
at the time. Those who use it as a tool like the cane longer so that it does 
what its suppposed to do. Of course, in my observations, I have noticed 
those who want shorter canes have some sight left and haven't learned or 
accepted what blindness is about yet. I'm not judging anyone so list please 
don't hang me but this is a general observation. Also, I was going to poke 
fune at you, Kane because you are from South Bend and I'm from the Ann Arbor 
chapter! Go Blue!! Well, in all seriousness, you would be welcome at any of 
are chapter meetings as well.
