Job Description

This position has two primary responsibilities: The first is as a Charitable
Trust

Analyst, the incumbent is expected to apply statutory requirements regarding
charities

located and/or fund-raising in Michigan to determine if licensing and/or
registration

are required.

The incumbent is responsible for reviewing applications for solicitation by
organizations,

including articles of incorporation, trust instruments, and other creating
documents

to determine their adequacy for use in issuing a license.

The second responsibility is to serve as the agency coordinator for all
Freedom of

Information Act (FOIA) requests that are received on behalf of the
Department of

Attorney General.

The FOIA Coordinator receives and reviews FOIA requests and works closely
with the

entire department to assure requests are responded to as required under the
act.

 Required Education and Experience:

Education

Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.

Experience

Departmental Analyst 9

No specific type or amount is required.

Departmental Analyst 10

One year of professional experience.

Departmental Analyst P11

Two years of professional experience, including one year of experience
equivalent

to the intermediate (10) level in state service.

Departmental Analyst 12

Three years of professional experience, including one year of experience
equivalent

to the experienced (P11) level in state service.
