[nfbmi-talk] what ann arbor is doing about sidewalks

Terri, our city isn't used to all this snow! I'm still waiting on a few
phone numbers but that doesn't help now! Even those who travel with dogs
have trouble out there! Sometimes, Holly and I have to walk in the street!
Holly doesn't like that at all and we have great difficulties! This year,
our issue is that we haven't warmed up enough to get rid of some of this
mess! Hurry spring! Our Commmission On Disability Issues is checking into
the snow issue but I don't see much of anything we can do. Lastly, the
biggest probblem we have is that a lot of places are closed and those who
used to run them went for parts unknown! So, they don't shovel. I also have
been barked at by folks around my place. The most common thing is, you can't
walk in the street!! Well, just try walking on the sidwalk! I even managed
to get stuck in the snow. I lifted up my foot and stepped right out of my
boot! That was cold! This is one reason I think mobility should be taught in
the winter when it is the hardest.
