The Office oflnspector General (OIG) has opened an investigation of the above-captioned subject concerning alleged misconduct involving Federal funds.  Special agents of the OIG may be required to conduct interviews or record reviews within your organization in connection with this effort.  To help us safeguard the security and integrity of this investigation, we ask that you observe the following:

1.      Please do not inform any party outside the federal government of the existence of this investigation or discuss this matter with other persons, except as required by your official responsibilities.

2.      If you feel that any programmatic or administrative action may be necessary to protect the interests of the government or to properly exercise your regulatory functions, please notify us before proceeding with any such action.

3.       Please advise this office of any outside inquires as soon as possible after they are received.

We will make every effort to resolve this matter quickly to protect the interest of both the subject and the government, and will notify you in the event the above restrictions can be modified.  Your cooperation and discretion are appreciated.
